Virginia and Katie,
The corrupt jpegs (when we uploaded with EditPlus) were caused because we forgot to click the "Binary Transfer" option before uploading them. Sorry it took me so long to figure that out.

It works fine if you want to use EditPlus to upload more photos, just remember to click "Binary" on the bottom of the dialog before clicking "Upload" on the top.
